Overview

Coffee Chemistry is a chemistry-themed specialty café, where coffee and dishes are served in beakers and lab-inspired glassware, creating a distinct and memorable in-café experience.

The brand offers 365 flavours of coffee, along with multiple teas and food dishes. These flavours are also sold as retail packages, making visual consistency across café spaces, packaging, and digital platforms critical.

Based in Banashankari, Bangalore, Coffee Chemistry later expanded to a second outlet in the same locality.

👉 Our role focused on design, branding systems, and visual consistency for the new outlet — not construction or operations.

The Challenge

Coffee Chemistry was growing fast, but visually fragmented:

  • A strong concept-driven café experience without a unified design system

  • A very large product universe (365 coffee flavours + food + teas)

  • Renovation and expansion demanding continuous design output

  • Packaging, spatial branding, and digital assets lacking cohesion

  • A social presence inflated by inactive and bot followers

  • No website to support discovery, ordering, or payments

  • Too many SKUs, no single visual system

  • Online presence ≠ in-café experience

Our Focus & Approach

We partnered with Coffee Chemistry as a design- and video-first brand partner, supporting marketing where needed—but letting visual storytelling do the heavy lifting.

Brand Standardisation Across Touchpoints

We brought cohesion across physical and digital spaces through:

  • Branding support for primary & secondary outlets

  • Logo usage across signage, print, and packaging

  • Wall art and spatial graphics

  • Event-specific branding assets

  • Outlet 1 branding

  • Outlet 2 branding (design support)

  • Wall art close-ups

  • Signage & spatial details

Packaging, Print & In-Café Design

We designed a wide ecosystem of brand assets, including:

  • Updated menus

  • Pour-over coffee bag packaging

  • Retail pouches covering 365 coffee flavours

  • Coffee instrument box covers

  • Table mats and on-table standees for events

  • Banners and signage

  • Coffee pouches

  • Pour-over packs

  • Instrument box covers

  • Menu & table assets

Video-First Content & Visual Storytelling

A major part of the engagement focused on video and short-form content, helping translate the in-café experience into digital attention:

  • Reels and short-form videos

  • Event coverage

  • Product & dish-led visuals

  • Ad-hoc video content for launches

  • Beaker-style serving shots

  • Product close-ups

  • Event moments

Website Design & Development

We built Coffee Chemistry’s website from scratch, focusing on clarity and conversion:

  • Brand-aligned UI/UX

  • Online ordering and payment gateway integration

  • Clear visibility for menus, products, and locations

  • Homepage

  • Menu flow

  • Checkout / payment screen

Social Media & Community Support

Alongside design and video, we supported the brand through:

  • Regular posts, reels, and stories

  • Active community management

  • Removal of bot and inactive followers

  • Rebuilding a genuine, local audience

We also supported food influencer collaborations, especially during Christmas, where demand exceeded operational capacity.

  • Influencers at café

  • Crowd shots

  • Festive moments

Results & Impact

  • Strong increase in footfall, driven by design-led branding and video

  • A consistent brand system across outlets, packaging, and digital platforms

  • Clear translation of the café’s chemistry concept into visual storytelling

  • Social presence cleaned up and rebuilt around real customers

  • Community Creation, Engagement and Growth

Finding a good team who designs well is a difficult task in itself. And finding a team who designs well and understands the context so the design works well for your business is even more difficult. With Sketchy Designs, we've found this rare capability! It has worked pretty well for us till date, so highly recommend their services. Good luck to the team!
